16th August 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 12-18 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot surf Air Temperature: 16ºC Sea Temperature: 17ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Walked across with my big wave board, a 5m and a 5.7m and plumped for the 5.7m Fin bolt sheared whilst setting up so walked back to get another. Finally finished rigging as AndyW turned up. Went out and just managed to get going but ended up downwind. Walked back to get a bigger fin but it doesn't fit the finbox properly and the duct tape that was on it for extra padding had gone so I jammed it in with bit of marram grass. Back out and not enough wind. Finally got out the back and did just get going but not much joy really. Caught a wave back in and my footstrap popped out. Grrrr. Not great, but the sun was shining and I did get planing a few times so it was better than nothing. |
